淨零碳排暨智慧製造研發中心設立於2023年6月1日，本中心主要協助產業碳盤查、碳減量、碳權交易技術及管理；配合我國淨零碳排實踐目標，幫助產業在不同階段達成減碳策略以及輔導產業進行智慧製造設計及製程節能減碳。

In the Department of Intelligent Technology and Application, we march forward towards the forefront of intelligent technology with unwavering confidence, applying intelligent technology to create a better future for ourselves. Based on professional knowledge and a practical, technology-oriented educational philosophy, the Department cultivates information engineering and related interdisciplinary technical talents. In addition, according to the national promotion of information software talent classification, and in accordance with industry technology demand and student ability attributes, the Department plans core courses and content to meet actual employment needs. In promoting departmental curriculum planning, particular emphasis is placed on students’ learning processes and outcomes, integrating theory and practical application closely into teaching-related content to enhance the employment competitiveness of our graduates.

The educational objectives of the Department of Intelligent Technology and Application are to cultivate talents in web and mobile software development and design, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things development and design, and cross-disciplinary talents in intelligent life technology. After graduation, students will possess professional abilities in information application, programming, database system establishment and management, website planning and design, microprocessor system integration development, and embedded system integration development. The main purpose is to cultivate computer information technology development and application talents to meet regional industrial demand, and to be appreciated and reused by various industries. Its mission will be to promote and support the development of industrial computerization, informationization, networking, and digital electronics.

In addition to basic education in information engineering, the Department of Intelligent Technology and Application focuses on the application of “intelligent living spaces” as its development feature. Based on advanced information engineering technology and combined with interdisciplinary knowledge, the Department develops technology and equipment related to smart living spaces. In line with the development characteristics of the university, particular emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary applications related to medical care and livelihood needs. In the future, we will continue to strengthen the practical application features of our department, promote industry-academia cooperation opportunities, and enhance the employment competitiveness of our graduates.
