The educational objectives of the Department of Intelligent Technology and Application are to cultivate talents in web and mobile software development and design, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things development and design, and cross-disciplinary talents in intelligent life technology. After graduation, students will possess professional abilities in information application, programming, database system establishment and management, website planning and design, microprocessor system integration development, and embedded system integration development. The main purpose is to cultivate computer information technology development and application talents to meet regional industrial demand, and to be appreciated and reused by various industries. Its mission will be to promote and support the development of industrial computerization, informationization, networking, and digital electronics.
In addition to basic education in information engineering, the Department of Intelligent Technology and Application focuses on the application of “intelligent living spaces” as its development feature. Based on advanced information engineering technology and combined with interdisciplinary knowledge, the Department develops technology and equipment related to smart living spaces.
